Individual Journey is a German travel company for guided small-group journeys to Central Asia. It offers personally tested routes through Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan – for a maximum of 14 participants, planned and tested by founder Ina Just.
Individual Journey is neither a mass-market tour operator nor a luxury travel brand. It sits between the two: high quality and personal care at mid-range to upper-mid-range prices, while keeping the atmosphere of small, authentic groups.
The founder has personally travelled, checked and approved every route on offer. The company serves travellers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland and welcomes guests from anywhere.
Individual Journey offers trips to four countries in Central Asia, plus a few further destinations. The core programme focuses on these regions:
Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, the Fergana Valley, the Kyzylkum desert. Several routes of 7 to 15 days, including a family trip and a desert route with a yurt camp.
Tian Shan mountains, Issyk-Kul lake, Song-Kul lake, nomadic culture. Trips: culture & trekking, motorcycle expedition, motorcycle comfort, women’s trip, Nomad Games.
Pamir Highway, Dushanbe, Khorog, Wakhan valley. One of the most remote and fascinating routes in Central Asia, in 9 days.
Ashgabat, the Darvaza gas crater (the “Gate to Hell”), Merv (UNESCO). One of the least visited countries in the world, with strict entry requirements.

Motorcycle trips are also aimed at experienced riders looking for demanding mountain routes.
